What is art to you? Personally, I believe art has impacted my life in much more ways than one. I've always loved the idea of being artistic, living and imagining a space unlike your usual. I see it as a gateway into a world where even its complexity could be customized. What is art to me? Art is my way of living (sorta like Naruto's ninja way :P).
How's it going fellow readers? Today I take you with me into another art exploration at MGM Macau. If you remember last time,I had way too much fun at
TeamLab Future Park that I even vlogged about the whole experience. Well this time we visited the art exhibit called "
Art Is Play" which is consisted of 5 different rooms installed by concepts of 5 different international artist. Every room we walked into has it's own character, mood, and story. Keep scrolling to read more about each room and see how amazing they look! Watch my
vlog to know the artist of each art installation too!

Am I crazy enough to add an ice cream joint to our whole itinerary? Maybe. But who cares? Haha! I was thinking really hard how I would include Mad Pops during our last day since it's quite far from Kuta. Luckily, they have another branch at Canggu, just 5 minutes away from Cafe Organic (Read my review about Cafe Organic
here). I always see Bali photos here at Mad Pops, along with their famous neon light signs. The one in Seminyak is more well known though, but at least I'm one of the few people who did it in their Canggu joint.
So now comes the question, is it worth it? Along with the very instagrammable photos I keep seeing, I also read quite a few reviews saying that it's not worth all the hype the internet gives. I knew I had to try it for myself before believing anyone else. Did I like it? Were the negative reviews right all along? Keep reading to find out!

Ubud is no doubt one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to! Every street and corner looks absolutely stunning and picturesque. A lot asked me when I got back from Bali "how come you didn't go to the beach as much?" and I responded with a very confused look on my face. To be honest, I never saw Bali for it's beaches. I admit, there are a lot of beautiful beaches, but personally when I hear "Bali", rice terraces, street art, burnt orange temples, and holistic yet hipster designs comes to mind. And I think Ubud is the perfect example of that!
A day and a half is definitely not enough to explore and do all the fun stuff at Ubud, but we tried our best to do as much. I had so much to choose from that I narrowed our itinerary down to 3 main spots. Prioritizing which ones were the most applicable as a 1st timer around Ubud. And because of that lack of time, I promised myself that I will surely come back to Bali and do even more fun things and explore more of beautiful Ubud!
Wanna know which places got in my list? Keep scrolling to find out! Provided my whole itinerary just for you ;) Also, I prepared a daily vlog specifically for the lovely Ubud. Watch it now on my YouTube Channel (down below).
As a blogger traveling to Bali, having a smoothie bowl in a quaint cafe seemed like a must. One of the more famous organic eatery spots in Canggu (you pronounce it as "chang-goo") is the
Cafe Organic. Even with our limited time in Bali, I found a way to have a quick stop in between Ubud and Kuta.
We left our hotel in Ubud at 10:30 a.m. and had about an hour ride to Canggu. When we got to the cafe they immediately informed us that their kitchen power was having some technical issues and that they would only be able to serve drinks and smoothie bowls. Quite a bummer. Luckily we already had heavy breakfast back at our hotel.

Bali is, no doubt, one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. Trust me, I'm not even exaggerating one bit! Most areas in the island are provincial, but it's safe to say that Bali in general is very tourist-oriented. The Balinese are very proud of their attractions, their food, and their things, yet they also boast their culture and religious beliefs. But even for somewhere as exposed and beautiful as Bali, there are still some factors that some people may or may not be troubled with.
As a first time visitor of Bali I felt the need to share my first-hand experiences with you, answer a few beginner doubts, and provide you a travel guide I wish I had read before I went. I may help you get through some questions like "how much should my budget be?", "should I hire a driver?", or "which area should I stay at?". Or you might have some other uncertainties you didn't even realized you had. Keep scrolling to get into my Bali Beginner Guide, and don't forget to show some love on my Bali vlogs!
Just a random throwback for you today! This was taken around last August 2017 and it just seemed on par with today's weather situation. My style doesn't extravagantly change, just a few minor add and subtract, and usually goes on for years. I still love color-blocking with citrus tones whether it's summer or winter just like I did last year. I think the most change I've done on the blog in comparison to 2016 and 2017 is the way I edit my photos. Even on my Instagram, you'd notice that I found my current favorite filter which shows heavy teal tones and usually with the skin "slightly pinked". I can't believe it took me 2 (or even 3) years just to finally have a filter I could accept in all of my photos.
MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU! Hey darling readers, if you've been updated with the stuff I do then you'd probably think that this is the nerdiest I've been so far. And it definitely is. But you know what? I love it! Definitely one of my fave posts ever here at #KateeOTD so I hope you guys appreciate it too. I was a late bloomer with the whole Star Wars craze, in fact I used to hate it. But then again anything can happen, anything like a once Star Wars hater turning into a bonafide fan! Before watching The Force Awakens, Princess Leia was one of my favorites (R.I.P. Carrie Fisher). Aside from the bots: C3P0, R2D2, and BB-8, oh and also Chewie, I've been really inspired by Rey. I adore how strong and will-driven she is. Which is why I decided to do this little cosplay for this special day... watch me and BB-8 gear up in the short video I did below!
ONE OF THE BEST PLACES I'VE EVER BEEN TO! I've been seeing so much photos and vlogs about The Dessert Museum since they opened in February 10, 2018. I'm a sucker for both sweet treats and instagrammable places, so you could imagine my eagerness to make it there one day. And I did. We had a day to spare last April 25th when I went to the Philippines with my mom and sister; immediately, I asked them if they would be fine visiting this cute museum. I mean, who could resist? There were 8 sweet fun-filled rooms in total and 6 of them offered treats (payment for treats are already included in the entrance fee). They often have promotional offers and discounts; we didn't book in advance so we took the "walk-in" rate for PHP 699/person. It's actually quite cheap in my opinion.
Obviously I vlogged the whole thing so keep scrolling to watch and enjoy some more of our photos!
Lately I've felt my blogging career growing. Not drastically, but a little bit more progress than most so far. And because of that constant growth, I am starting to love blogging even more! I've mentioned a few times ago that one of my favorite parts of being a blogger is meeting new people who also shares the same passion as I do, despite the different niches. Last April 25, 2018, me and my sister went to the Philippines to take care of some wedding issues. Though, we had one day to spare in which we decided to meet up with a Philippine-based blogger: Myrrazen. She is such a humble and sweet girl, one who genuinely smiles at all times! I loved meeting her, from the moment I saw her face-to-face waiting for us in front of Cotton On, followed by our "this is the 1st time I've met you but you're already my sister" hug!
Follow Myrra on her social media handles:
"You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep spring from coming." Despite the humidity and the heat, I really love spring for it's bloom. I love walking on streets, seeing different colorful flower beds in full bloom. I swear, if I ever have a chance to have my own garden in the future I'd fill it with all my favorites such as plumeria, orchids, and hibiscus. What's your favorite flower? This look was inspired by 1950's darlings wearing silk neck scarves and playing with prints. It was a hot day when we took these photos so I wore this very thin and breezy black top filled with pink flowers. Keep scrolling to watch my lookbook and check out other photos!
"SPRING: A beautiful reminder of how beautiful change can truly be" and icky-sticky humidity. Hahaha! All jokes aside, the 1st look of my "Yellow and Black Spring Lookbook" is finally here! I got so inspired with sunflowers this season that I decided to create this 3-part lookbook using 2 colors that don't really associate with spring. I don't know about you, but when spring comes to mind I automatically think of pastels, pinks, and green. What do you think? Anyway, it's been so long since I last did a lookbook and I gotta say that I had so much fun filming this one! Show some love, keep scrolling to watch it and read more.
I wish I could say that I really was a lazy person, but damn. These days being lazy isn't even an option anymore. I recently just posted about this too on my Instagram stories, on how I actually handle everything. The thing is, I don't. Everything has its consequences. I do achieve posting/publishing, editing, writing, and socializing on a daily basis. But it's really taking a toll on my body since I decreased my standard sleeping time from six hours to four hours. I'm ALWAYS tired, stressed, and uptight. Though, there's no point staying that way. That's why I try to find happiness in the little things and with people who matter.
I am a sucker for adorable cafes, especially when their interiors are so vibrant and unique. Today's cute little cafe spot is located along Almeida Costa Cabral, between apartment buildings and other local shops. Sweet Dreams Cafe is an eye-catcher from the outside, and the food they serve is just as promising as they seem. I've been to a lot of cafes and I've already tried lots of tea time experiences that I became quite familiar with what I actually look for in a tea set. I guess I should just label myself a tea time connoisseur!
There has to be that balance of savory and sweet items, nothing too overpowering or rich because I don't like to feel bloated after only a few bites. The food items in the tea-set should always... and I put emphasis on "always"... match my choice of coffee. Believe me, there were times when this very preference led to disappointments. And lastly, it has to look pleasing. This may seem petty but think about it, at least 80% of why tea times are even relevant is because of how pretty and different they're presented. Talk about serious Instagram game.
Today I'm going to share with you my personal experience with Sweet Dreams, and why I think it is a MUST for you to try for yourselves. Keep scrolling for full review!
Streetstyle grunge, anyone? As shown in all my previous blog posts and videos, I am obviously into the whole retro, 80's-90's look. I've always admired old-timey fashion and last year I went for a bit more early 2000's. Around the time of scene + hiphop + emo + Avril Lavigne. Yeah, that era. Again, this look is one of the unpublished looks I had from 2017 and I thought of just posting them because it's better late than never, am I right? This photoshoot in particular is actually one of those shoots that I really liked. I felt edgy and cool, rockin' my bright tangerine beanie along with a shiny grey suede shirt. Even added a bit more attitude with my fish nets since they were a big trend last year. The high cut camel-colored Vans I'm wearing in the photos is actually one of my really old pairs of kicks. I haven't worn it in so long and I thought it really matched the look I was going for here. Are you currently loving old-school fashion as well?

Quick question! What do you associate with the color green? I always see it being a color of envy, grouchy, or war. After years of watching cartoons and movies, green would always be the bad guy. Either their outfits, their hair, their lairs, their acid/slime guns; take 'Shego' in Kim Possible for example. The super-villain sidekick hottie is 50% black and green, the most generic bad guy duo color. Joker, a more famous character, has green hair. Heck, even Grouch from Sesame Street and the Grinch are full bodied green. BUT.... (yes, I am considering a big "but"), there are also a number of main/side characters that are in the green team and usually, they're the cool ones. Most obvious pick is Buttercup from the Powerpuff Girls, I even had a time when I wanted to be her but my eldest sister demanded that she was Buttercup and I was Bubbles (Pshhh.... @styleche). Another cool-green-main character my sister fought for with me was Sam from Totally Spies. She was like the coolest, the kindest, and even the hottest of the three. So I guess, the color green shouldn't always be associated with evil, but more into being a bad-ass color theme. Which is what I felt like wearing this dark-olive green jacket from H&M.
Yeah you heard me! There is no such thing as being extra when you're Barbie. Happy National Barbie Day! I like how the International Women's Day (March 8) and Barbie Day (March 9) is just next to each other. Because to me, Barbie is a symbol of women, is she not? Have you ever had a phase when you were just so into playing barbie dolls? I had! In fact, I had a blonde, blue-eyed Barbie for three years named 'Cream' when I was around 8 years old. She had a house, loads of clothes and shoes, and a camera. Yes. A camera, barbie size! It's kind of how I see myself these past few years, so I guess, Cream was how I wanted to see myself in the future (the near future in this case). We were so alike that one of Cream's favorite thing to do was swimming.... and that was how I lost her.
Weekends in Hong Kong has always been a thing I do every now and then. In my mindset, it may cost a bit more but at least you're temporarily away from ordinary days spent in tiny Macau. Recently, the whole fam squad stayed in Hong Kong for 2 days and 1 night for my little sister's birthday. She personally requested to go Ryze and Disneyland for her 15th birthday, and that's exactly what we did! Her birthday is on Valentines day and we went the weekends just before, although it was so close to Chinese New Year so as you might've guessed, Hong Kong was jam packed. It went out well though, keep scrolling to see more of what we did! Also have a new vlogs! Go watch it now!
The unplanned outfit post that turned out blog-worthy! We (my family and I) spent a weekend over at Hong Kong last Feb. 10 and 11. For the 1st day me and my sisters planned to go to Ryze, Trampoline Park over at Quarry Bay. But of course, being with two bloggers, a short photoshoot session was needed. All I wanted was #ootd looks for Instagram, but hell, my boyfriend/photographer makes so much wonders!
Bonne journée! Looking back to one of my unpublished posts in 2017, here's to when the weather was just starting to get chilly. On the day we took these photos, I had some relatives from the Philippines come over and thought of walking them around Fisherman's Wharf. Of course, I had to squeeze in a quick photoshoot because my outfit was effing-cute! I've posted a few of this look's photos on my Instagram and got a lot of love for it. A few people also said that this outfit feels very "me". To be honest, I thought I was pushing myself a bit out of my comfort zone when I wore this look. Especially with the high burgundy socks and shoes combo? Yikes! However, I ended up really liking this look and thought I look very "French"... well, stereo-typically.
"And after all you're my wonderwall" - Oasis. Hey guys! How's it going? If you must know, one of my resolutions for 2018 is to lessen my coffee intake. Normally, I drink around 4 cups of coffee a day. I've been doing so since I was in my senior year in highschool. It ain't doing good things to my body anymore so I cut it off to once every 2 days. Still not used to it, I feel so groggy most of the day but it's for my own good! So for this week's dose of covfefe, I'm reviewing one of my go-to coffee shops here in Macau: Wonderwall Coffee. Keep scrolling to see my thoughts, not only with their coffee but also with the cafe itself. *cheers*
Okay, so I just now realized that I had so much pending looks from 2017. Too much that they make up at least 3 months worth of blogposts. Hurray for me? I don't want to backlog my new 2018 outfits either, so I guess I'm just gonna slip in a few here and there. As for my #throwback2017 looks, here's the 1st one. When I felt like a sassy orange ready to take over the world. It was around early December when the temperature just dropped to 12 degrees. It was so damn cold but I really liked my outfit as it is so I refused to wear warmer clothes. Fashion over comfort?
OMG! Haven't done an outfit post in a while! I'm back guys! Back with them winter looks because it's still pretty cold here in Macau. What better way to start off the year with a sassy retro look that of course, has a bit of shimmer accent. This was my outfit for 2017's countdown and I think it represents how I would want my 2018 to look. Bright, psychedelic, with a bit of fierce. I've set so much goals for both the blog and my personal life this year, and I'm going to strive achieving them one by one! Talk about some serious New Year's resolution!
Ohh Manila..... Last December 22, 2017, my family and I went to the Philippines to spend our Christmas vacation with our relatives. It's been 15 years since we last celebrated Christmas there so my parents really insisted on making it happen this time. I didn't vlog and blog about the Christmas celebration itself because I guess, I just wanted to keep it personal. We did have a few days exploring the city and that's what I've decided to share with you! Keep scrolling and/or watch my Manila vlog to see more of our escapade. *muah*
The last part of the whole Palawan getaway is finally here. We left El Nido early in the morning and had a 6 hour drive back to Puerto Princesa. Our itinerary for the last day was a city tour around Puerto Princesa and we arrived at our 1st destination around half past 12 in the afternoon. Our flight back to Manila was in a few hours so we had to make every minute count! Our scheduling was kinda cramped but we didn't let it get to us. We tried doing as much of the tour as we could. Keep scrolling to read more of what we did and where we went during the city tour. Also, show some love on my Palawan vlogs! Love yah!
"See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me...". My favorite part of our Palawan trip is finally here on the blog! Being one with the ocean always feels like it's my true calling in life. If you've been here a while, you'd know that most of my travel vlogs/blog posts are mostly at the beach. I've already swam at beaches in Boracay and Thailand, but none of them were as blue and clear as El Nido's. If ever you go to El Nido, you'd see that there are 4 different Island Hopping tours to choose from. We took 'Tour A' which was mostly made up of lagoons. Keep scrolling to see more of what we did and which islands/lagoons we ended up going to! Also, show some love on my vlog!
