HAPPY NEW YEAR BECHES! Coming in 2017 alive and strong! Another year has gone by and it's just nice to look back at what happened during 2016.... But before all that, I just want to share with you all that today also marks the very 1st anniversary of #Katee Of The Day, basically I've officially been a blogger for a year!
Merry Christmas ya'll! Hope you're having a blast this day, and if you're not, it's not too late to celebrate just yet! Sending you all the Christmas love I could give here on #kateeotd <3
My last outfit for my Fall x Winter Lookbook is finally here! I love this look; I love my new boots and my favorite satin bomber from Boohoo. It came out just exactly how I imagined it and that is a sign of a great ending! Talking about great endings, this is also my last day at work (not permanently, unfortunately) and tomorrow I'm officially turning on my vacay mode!
I apologize for my constant pokerface. I guess it fits since I'm posting this on a Monday.... I wasn't exactly feeling great the time I took these photos. Was quite annoyed and tired from both work and my look. You know, it was just one of those days. *sigh*..... Moving away from all the BS, how's your day going so far?
Super duper excited! Only 3 more days till vacay! Can't wait to get out of all the bullshit Macau has for me right now. All negativity aside, I'm so happy that my lookbook is finally out and this look in particular was definitely my favorite!
1st look is finally up! Called this one sweater over summer because it literally felt like I was wearing a whole summer outfit, maxi and mules, with a sweater over-layer! As I've mentioned in the previous post, I shared my ways on how I'd style sweaters and bombers, and this is one of them! Normally, I'd buy myself short length sweaters because I like layering. Also, they help me look slimmer despite how much clothing I'd wear for cooler days.
SO HAPPY TO FINALLY POST MY NEW LOOKBOOK! It's been almost a year since my last one; to be honest, I attempted making quite a few lookbooks throughout the year but failed because of some issues. But anyway, I finally made one once more and I'm happy that I got to finish it before Christmas came!
DOUBLE BLOGGER DATE / #KATEE.O.T.DVLOGS
Hurrah to the weekends once more! It just always feel like an accomplishment every time I survive throughout the week, knowing that I can handle another one that's about to come! Well for today, I decided to upload the continuation of our 2-day trip to Hong Kong 2 weeks back (Read and watch my vlog/blog on our 1st day here). If you've seen the vlog I did for the 1st day, you'd notice how crazy the sudden change in weather was!
It's Monday once more ya'll, and what better way to brighten up a gloomy Monday than having a new outfit post? I was supposed to post the 2nd day vlog of our 2-day trip to HK, the day after Clockenflap.
TGIF guys!!! Doing a little flashback Friday on #kateeotd today from our crazy experience in Hong Kong just a week ago! It was my 1st time to go Clockenflap this year and I was really looking forward to it. I was expecting something from a Coachella-type of music festival and it made me even more excited when I started seeing pictures and videos of it from the past few years, hoping that I'll get my own memorable pictures and videos this year.......... well, guess what! I did! Somehow.
Got this "Babe" baseball shirt from Forever21 a few months back when I was doing some lonely shopping (Just in case you're wondering, I call it "lonely shopping" when I start spending a lot on food or clothes because Adrian is out of Macau).
Literally after hours! I just got off work and met up with the boyfriend when these photos were taken. Not even meant to be a blog post but I thought why the hell not? Good thing I go to work sometimes as if I'm going to blog. You'd notice my haggard face, tired legs (which is why I was sitting down), messy hair and bright red lippie because of work. This is basically how I look like every time I'm off duty.... like a zombie.
Happy Monday! I know I said I'd only post on Wednesdays but I guess a few more extra posts in a week wouldn't hurt nobody. Well then, let's begin shall we? Macau's 16th Food Festival started more than a week ago and I, for the first time ever, went on the first day! Well mainly because Live and Love Macau asked me to write about it ASAP (You can find my LLM article here: Macau Food Festival). Another reason was because of Adrian's cousin; he's been here as our tourist and we thought that he should experience one of our big time local events.
Wanting to wear winter clothes for a while now but the weather is still not cold enough! I wanna drown myself in large knitted sweaters and start wearing boots so winter please come sooner! But for today, I'm sharing something a bit more summer-ish since these photos were taken about 2 months ago.
Ever looked at other women strutting in heels so effortlessly as if they're walking in sneakers? Then wonder why you are having such a hard time just standing straight in stilettos? That's me! Most of the time....
Whew! Halloween just passed by like that! What did you dress up as? I don't know about you but in Macau the only thing you can do on Halloween is go clubbing. Not that it's not fun but it's kinda getting lame in my opinion.
Throwback to about a month ago when the mid-autumn festival was just around the corner. Every year Macau has a fireworks competition that goes on for a whole month; every Saturdays of September until October 1st. Traditionally, we would go at least one weekend to watch the fireworks , hangout, and buy food and drinks from the fair with a bunch of friends.
Happy humpday ya'll! How's your week going so far? I've been overnight shift for the past 2 weeks and all I could say is that there is no perfect shift if you're working in the hotel industry. What I'd give just to finally work as an admin rather than grilling myself in operation. I'm just really tired.... like both physically and mentally.
Good afternoon lovely readers! Yes I'm officially back to blogging! However, from now onwards I'd only be posting every Wednesdays because yah know.... humpdays! I just think I'll handle it better if I don't force myself to prepare 2 blog posts per week, not to mention the stress from taking 2 photoshoots while having only one day off. Also, you may already be sick of seeing my face too much on your feed (hopefully not!). I'd still be active on Instagram though, so feel free to view my page there if you want to see anything current!
Okay, maybe I meant yesterday was the day since it took me hours just to prepare all the pictures after a whole day of no rest.
I'm back! It feels great to finally be blogging again after 2 weeks of being MIA. Besides, today marks a special day in my life so I couldn't just let it pass by without sharing it with you guys!
I miss having Sunday offs! I could dress up for both family day and the blog which is really time sufficient. I bought this mix and match set separately, they even had it in olive green, but I figured camel hues would fit me better because of my skin tone. I guess it's safe to say that I've made the right choice! To add a little color, I wore my blue tinted sunnies and wore my favorite Colourpop shade: Bumble. Also, since it was a really hot summer day, my hair was tied up with a bulge.
Woooh!!! I have not done a #TOTD in a long time! Since it's a Monday, I thought it'd be a great time to publish this. Today's topic is "how to feel better", basically from everything, especially a rough day. Lately I've been dealing with a lot of stress, changes and personal problems that I prefer not talking about. I'm currently still facing them on a daily basis, but slowly learning how to think more positive about everything that's been happening. Then I thought, it can't only be me! For sure there is someone else out there who is having a tough time, maybe even a lot more than I am.
And that's what I want to talk about today, my personal opinions on how to take on #badvibes like these like a boss! It may not work on everyone or every time, but the following tips surely helped me in most situations:
Friday calls for a little flare! My style is so inconsistent that sometimes I revert from being edgy to being hippie.... and sometimes, it even mixes together! I just got this top from my sister (Thanks @styleche) and blogged it the next day.
The title says it all! Ugh! It is... once again... MONDAY! Speaking of Mondays, I'd be having a new #TOTD next week about how I handle and avoid having Monday blues. Hopefully, that'll help you get through it every week too! Okay, too much Monday mentions in not even what I call a short paragraph... so moving on....
If you must know.... that's not a beer belly. It's more like a buffet belly :P But seriously, I just had a very fun breakfast buffet at Shrekfast in Sheraton Hotel literally minutes before taking these photos. Oh well... I admit that I'm a bit overweight, or chubby (better term) so there's no point hiding it now, is there?
Forgot to do a "Welcome Ber-months" edition!! I'm really trying to come up with some ideas that would make the blog a tad bit interesting.... Please please please, if you have any whatsoever suggestions, don't hesitate to let me know!
Another "1st time" experience thanks to Live and Love Macau! They gave out free tickets to see the movie premiere of Now You See Me 2 at the Venetian theatre about 3 months ago. The event was complete with a red carpet, however, it was mostly Hong Kong and Macau stars who I'm not so familiar with. It felt great, and I love the fact that I got to catch up with a few of my high school friends whom I rarely see.
Yes...I know....Another throwback it is. I swear I'll try my best to post my most recent photos once I get used to my work schedule. If ever you've noticed, I've been less active in all my social media pages. It's really difficult! I got fatter too... I don't know, it might be the cause of stress eating. Also, I've been eating out quite alot since I got my 1st salary :P Something tells me that I'll be like that from now on.
You have no idea how happy I am to finally have the weekends again! This week has been, no doubt, the most challenging time in my job. Not to mention that the grand opening of our hotel is 2 weeks away!
I like clothes with statements on them...especially when they're true! Coffee is definitely my BFF! We've met since my last months in high school, supported me throughout my 4 years in university and is still greeting me every morning. Don't really have anyone like that in my life, HAHA!
Blogging helps me defeat Monday blues! To me, every post counts! This was taken a few weeks back when me and Adrian went on a one day trip to Hong Kong (Read article here). As you can see, obviously, my fave color these past few months has been nude pink or rose gold-ish.
One of my favorite places in Macau is most definitely the Penha hill. There's no bus that directly goes there so the easiest way would be by car or taxi, if walking is not an option for you.
Throwback to last autumn because autumn is just around the corner! First of all, can you see how adorable my beanie was? I got it for only 20MOP at Miniso, a small Japanese shop spread out around Macau.
Ughh! Don't you just hate it when your make-up melts from sweat but you'd rather have that than not wear make-up at all? That's just one of the many "girl problems" I have, especially in the summer!
Went on a much needed rewinding 2 weekends ago with the boyfriend-photographer at Hong Kong. Normally, we plan even one day trips in detail; but for this getaway, we really had nothing in mind!
Ever felt like being a wild flower and having a sudden transformation into a total bohemian? I did! I guess it's needless to say that my main inspiration for this look and everything else boheme is definitely Vanessa Hudgens! She always has been one of my inspirations with interests and fashion (I apologize for "fan-girling" a bit).
To follow up my post last Friday (Day 3: Boracay From Above), I mentioned before that I didn't get to do much outfit blogging when I was in Boracay, so this post is only 1 of 2 Bora outfit posts. I'm still sad about that!
OMG! Totally forgot to post this! My bad :P I can't believe it's been more than a month already since our lovely getaway to Boracay.... I miss it so bad! Anyway, June 10th was our last hurrah since we were leaving quite early the next day for the airport. Despite being dead tired from all our water activities the day before, we went on to do some even more fun activities; but this time, on land!
Recently, I've been turning cold coffee into water; especially when it's iced macchiato! As you may already know, I'm a certified coffee enthusiast! But in Macau's summer heat, even I can't stand a chance to drink hot coffee outdoors.
About 2 years ago I joined a modeling workshop hosted by Red Studio and became a part of their 2nd batch. All I can say is that it was an awesome experience! I've always wanted to be model (embarrassed about that) and I was finally given a chance to do so.
Was in a hunt to buy a new denim dress, and I could say that it was a success! Well, it's not exactly denim, from my trip to the Jack Wills event a few weeks ago, I learned that this cloth was actually called "chambray" (the more you know!).
(BD)Blonde Diaries: A series of looks that were taken before Katee-Of-The-Day and were mostly published in my Look Book Account.
Throwback to exactly a year ago! For my internship during college, I worked at Rock Spa in Hard Rock Hotel, Macau as a spa receptionist (which meant free massage and facial from time to time :P). I loved working there; the people I was with were awesome and that's where I met the most lovable and fabulous person ever, Nicky (@nickybabymacau).
I figured that it was time for a fresh new look! I've never felt so confident with how I look; New hair that's 100% hassle free, just the right amount of tan, and eyelashes that helps me feel comfortable going out with no make-up.
Kylie Cosmetics H.K. was so kind to offer KYLIE LIP KITs for $330 upon using the discount code :KATEE330 (HKD/MOP; Original price - $350).
O.M.G! I've wanted to get my hands on this ever since I saw that trial video on BuzzFeed: Women Try The Kylie Jenner Lip Kit • Ladylike! After months of searching for the most convenient way to get one, Joyce (@joycexandrea) happens to be the Macau representative of Kylie Cosmetics HK (@kyliecosmetic_hongkong) so I took the chance to finally order a Lip Kit of my own! Trust me! Everywhere I searched was always "out of stock" so this was like an answer to my prayers! But seriously though, as a makeup junkie since the age of 13, the Kylie Lip Kit was like a MUST HAVE!!!
After all those tiring water activities, we got to do some sight seeing in the island hopping we booked :) Our 1st destination was Crystal Cove. Every inch of this island was just picture-worthy, it was so beautiful! The irony is that their main attraction were the 2 caves (Cove 1&2), but I was quite scared to go there because of the possible snake contact. We only ended up going down to Cove 1, in which, I didn't move from where I was standing!
As I've mentioned in the 1st part of this post, DAY 2 (Part 1/3): Another Day In Paradise, we got to do lots of activities while we were in Boracay thanks to our guide Stewart! By 10 a.m., we went to the other side of the island where all the water activities were being held. Best thing about having a guide is that they do all negotiations for you. We didn't even need to worry about holding on to our tickets!
Didn't really get to do outfit posts while we were in Boracay... Everywhere had lots of people and the sun sets really early in the Philippines. That's basically the only thing we failed to do while we were there. But anyways, I tried saving at least 2 looks and this is the 1st one!
We woke up at 6:00 in the morning the next day so that we could blog because there's just too much people around 8:00. While we were taking pictures and enjoying our "taho", a guy named Stewart came up to us and offered us some pretty sweet deals regarding the activities we did. We've been scanning since the night before and only him gave us really cheap prices so we arranged to meet with him after we had breakfast at our hotel.
Finally touched down in Boracay! After almost 3 hours just to get there from Kalibo International Airport and Caticlan Jetty Port, we made it safe and sound at our beachfront hotel!
Hey ya'll! Just got back yesterday from our one-week getaway to Philippines. I'm so not ready to go back to my normal life :( but that's how life goes! Hopefully, there will be more travelling in the future! Make sure to check out my Instagram Account (@katee.cee) to see pictures from our trip.
