Lately I've felt my blogging career growing. Not drastically, but a little bit more progress than most so far. And because of that constant growth, I am starting to love blogging even more! I've mentioned a few times ago that one of my favorite parts of being a blogger is meeting new people who also shares the same passion as I do, despite the different niches. Last April 25, 2018, me and my sister went to the Philippines to take care of some wedding issues. Though, we had one day to spare in which we decided to meet up with a Philippine-based blogger: Myrrazen. She is such a humble and sweet girl, one who genuinely smiles at all times! I loved meeting her, from the moment I saw her face-to-face waiting for us in front of Cotton On, followed by our "this is the 1st time I've met you but you're already my sister" hug!
Follow Myrra on her social media handles:
"You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep spring from coming." Despite the humidity and the heat, I really love spring for it's bloom. I love walking on streets, seeing different colorful flower beds in full bloom. I swear, if I ever have a chance to have my own garden in the future I'd fill it with all my favorites such as plumeria, orchids, and hibiscus. What's your favorite flower? This look was inspired by 1950's darlings wearing silk neck scarves and playing with prints. It was a hot day when we took these photos so I wore this very thin and breezy black top filled with pink flowers. Keep scrolling to watch my lookbook and check out other photos!
"SPRING: A beautiful reminder of how beautiful change can truly be" and icky-sticky humidity. Hahaha! All jokes aside, the 1st look of my "Yellow and Black Spring Lookbook" is finally here! I got so inspired with sunflowers this season that I decided to create this 3-part lookbook using 2 colors that don't really associate with spring. I don't know about you, but when spring comes to mind I automatically think of pastels, pinks, and green. What do you think? Anyway, it's been so long since I last did a lookbook and I gotta say that I had so much fun filming this one! Show some love, keep scrolling to watch it and read more.
I wish I could say that I really was a lazy person, but damn. These days being lazy isn't even an option anymore. I recently just posted about this too on my Instagram stories, on how I actually handle everything. The thing is, I don't. Everything has its consequences. I do achieve posting/publishing, editing, writing, and socializing on a daily basis. But it's really taking a toll on my body since I decreased my standard sleeping time from six hours to four hours. I'm ALWAYS tired, stressed, and uptight. Though, there's no point staying that way. That's why I try to find happiness in the little things and with people who matter.
I am a sucker for adorable cafes, especially when their interiors are so vibrant and unique. Today's cute little cafe spot is located along Almeida Costa Cabral, between apartment buildings and other local shops. Sweet Dreams Cafe is an eye-catcher from the outside, and the food they serve is just as promising as they seem. I've been to a lot of cafes and I've already tried lots of tea time experiences that I became quite familiar with what I actually look for in a tea set. I guess I should just label myself a tea time connoisseur!
There has to be that balance of savory and sweet items, nothing too overpowering or rich because I don't like to feel bloated after only a few bites. The food items in the tea-set should always... and I put emphasis on "always"... match my choice of coffee. Believe me, there were times when this very preference led to disappointments. And lastly, it has to look pleasing. This may seem petty but think about it, at least 80% of why tea times are even relevant is because of how pretty and different they're presented. Talk about serious Instagram game.
Today I'm going to share with you my personal experience with Sweet Dreams, and why I think it is a MUST for you to try for yourselves. Keep scrolling for full review!
