Wishing for spring and summer to come by faster, but I sure will miss the cold winter we had in Macau this year despite the frost bite and numb hands it gave me. It's been almost 3 years since the climate here dropped into freezing temperatures, so it was quite nice to experience it again. Not to mention, all the thick clothes I have that weren't worn for so long since it was too hot to wear them.
Since it's still cold, lets make a sudden Tuesday throwback to a few weeks ago when Macau reached 2°C and left frost bites and numb faces to everyone, I mean, I think it wasn't just me, right? I know this temperature is normal for some countries, but come on! Macau is in South East Asia, and it hasn't reached this cold in a few years (they say due to global warming).
Before Christmas 2015, I traveled to Shanghai with my family and we came across this lovely street called Xintiandi. It was beautiful there, almost like a movie setting. These pictures were taken on our 3rd day in Shanghai, but it wasn't the 1st time we went to Xintiandi. We saw this place a day before but the weather made blogging really difficult. It was one of Shanghai's worst weather, so we new that we had to come back the next day when the skies are clear.
Macau has done it again! Another lights show was held to improve the tourism sector and this time, instead of going for a Chinese New Year theme, Macau went for another occasion: Valentines Day. They made the typical "Christmas" lights into more of a love-theme, and the results? Beautiful! The official name of the event is the "Valentine Fantasia 2016 - Fairytale of Lights" and it will run from Feb 7-29, 2016.
Sooo.... just a random post for today. "What's it like to celebrate 3 important events in 1 day?", I'm talking about my sister's birthday, my anniversary with @dash_ad and Valentines day. Yepp, 3 events that happen to fall in one day. Oh well, it's been years and I can say that I'm kinda used to it. I even got better in planning and organizing. There's one good thing though, I get to save more by celebrating both Valentines and our anniversary together (Mwuahaha!)
Ahhhh.... even if Valentines is done, don't ever stop giving love to everyone around you! I'm still not over it. I'm still in the Valentine mood and I think I'll be here for a while. This is the final look from my Valentine & CNY Lookbook segment, in which it was more of a Valentine-inspired outfit.
Happy Valentines Day! And Happy Anniversary to my boyfriend/photographer Adrian Coronado (@dash_ad). As I've mentioned, numerous times, our anniversary is exactly on Valentines day, which led us to saying Happy Valenversary for 5 years now. I don't mean to be all lovey-dovey here in #kateeotd, but I really had the best time of my life starting 5 years ago.
Happy Year of the Monkey! Chinese New Year is like an extra holiday for us non-Chinese in Macau, which is a good thing! So I got a few days off from both blogging and school. I felt so stressed and tired lately which made me decide to just rest this whole week. Fortunately for me, I had this whole Valentine and Chinese New Year segment which gave me alot to post about.
Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Year of the Monkey! It's the 2nd day of the new year (Yes! Chinese spend their New Years for a week or so) and most of my fellow young citizens are excited to collect their "lai si"/red pockets. Also, to those who just got married, sucks to be you! (Yepp, I'm talking about you @styleche ) Coz from now on, you should be giving rather than receiving!
I've been so excited to post this! I'm trying something a little bit new and I hope that it'll have a great turnout. Watch the video down below and subscribe to me on YouTube:
As I've mentioned in previous posts, I will be doing a small segment for my looks this Valentines and Chinese New Year. In the next days, I'll post each look, but until then this video shows all of them.
Happy Monday! And from people involved with Chinese culture, Happy Year of the Monkey! As I've posted a few days ago, I recently went to the AIA Great European Carnival with my sibs. It was an opportunity to take outfit shots out of Macau and add something a little bit different here in the blog.
A great way to end the 1st month of 2016! Me and my sibs (boyfriend & in-law included) had a last minute trip to Hong Kong. There wasn't much planning involved so we didn't really know what to do. Good thing we found out that there was a carnival stationed in the Central Pier. I've always wanted to go in this place and I finally did!
Seriously though. Don't call me!

(BD)Blonde Diaries: A series of looks that were taken before Katee-Of-The-Day and were mostly published in my Look Book Account.
This was probably my favorite outfit during my first few months of blogging! I love boheme, probably because of Vanessa Hudgens and Michelle Phan's sudden turn into semi-bohemian. Everything about this style is beautiful, but because of my lack in boho pieces, it's quite difficult for me to pull off this look every time I make an attempt.
