Yourself In Full Bloom (#TOTD x Looks)

Turned 23 years yesterday, and no, no vlog for this year. I mean technically, my birthday this year isn't as hyped as the previous years (Gosh! I feel old...). But yeah, I just went for something simple like having dinner with my closest friends and our traditional family birthday dinner at La Gondola. I didn't feel the need to celebrate as much this year since I'll be going vacay in a few weeks and I just don't want to. I know, weird of me to say such things. I guess people really do change.

All negativity aside, I am happy with what's currently happening to my life right now. I'm blessed to have reached 23 good years in life and that's all I want to focus on. Today, I want to share with you how I helped myself reached full bloom (hence, the title), from being somewhere so discouraging to a point that made me question why I had to go through such situations. I haven't been in school for a year and it's my 1st time earning a lot of money... my own money. You'd think everything was just like a walk in the park, but believe me, it's not.

In the past year I've done lots of things I never thought I would've, and those things are what keeps me from going. Take our Boracay trip for example: after the whole travelling together, realizing it was so much fun, I just wanted to travel more. And that exact thought of wanting to be a traveler is one of my main motivations for work. Recently, I just got a new job, a job I've been waiting for for so long after being in so much depression I've finally got it! It might not be the best, it might even be shittier but thinking that I actually had the opportunity to find a new job enlightens me. There are so much more examples I want to share but the key points are just what's important.

1. It's good to doubt, but not too much

- Personally, I think it's helpful to doubt about things in your life at times. Things like "Is this really what I'm suppose to be doing? Will I be better off doing something else?" or "Am I really happy with what's happening to me right now?". Questioning yourself about those things can help you realize the truth and help you pursue what you actually want in life. But too much self-doubt may lead to lower self-esteem too. You may think that the reason why you're stuck at where you are right now is because that's the best you can do. After effects could be discouragement and less belief in yourself. Trust me, I've been there.

2. Being shy or embarrased gets you nowhere

- I'm a very out spoken person. I admit, there are lots times when I'm shy to say or do something just because I'm already assuming it's wrong (Sorry, I'm really working on that side of me.). But if there's one thing I got from my parents, it's their mindset about there's nothing wrong with asking or speaking what's on your mind. I've been very social, for as long as I could remember, and it's really got me places I never expected to be in. In my opinion, being less shy helps you grow yourself as a person... at work, with friends, at home, anywhere really. So before you get out of a situation you think may be really awkward, try being open minded and see what's it got in store for you.

3. You're not perfect, and that's okay

- I'm not very intelligent, nor am I 100% good with all the things I could do. I don't do sports and games, and I know how to play instruments but I'm not a pro in any. Heck, I don't even have proper grammar and here I am writing a long ass blogpost. But you know what? I don't care. No one is perfect, that's the most cliché phrase you'll hear me say today. But, really, no one is. I cared less with the things that I'm not and focused on the things that I actually am. I'm a blogger, I'm good at make-up and fashion, I love taking photos, and I love talking. The more you accept how unique you actually are, the happier you feel about yourself. Although, that doesn't mean you should look down at other people, or boast about how great you are. By then, you're just being an annoying b*tch.

WOW! That's a very long blog post. Oh well, It's my birthday anyway! Hope my tips would help you reach your full bloom ASAP. Well then.. Ima enjoy the rest of my day and you should too!
