Pattaya | Sun, Sea and Errthang! (Day 3)

Happy Friday ya'll! TGIF once more! Of course I'd be doing a continuation of our Thailand trip; this is basically my 1st Pattaya post and I told you, it gets better! After a 3-long hour drive in a minivan, at night, we finally arrived at our hotel. The Sun Xclusive is probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at... The service was terrible until the very last minute we checked out, the room couldn't even make it up to the service we got, and it was dirty...af! The pool "looked" lovely, but trust me, I didn't even dip my whole body in because I hate filthy water. Our "suite room" was basically 2 rooms with a main door; did I mention we had to call guest services 3 times our entire stay just because the main door was jammed?
It was by far my worst hotel experience, same goes to my whole family. But oh well, we didn't let it ruin our whole trip. After our usual morning swim, we ate at Cafe Fika (the only non-middle eastern/indian eatery at our area) and literally ordered the exact same thing. We then headed to Bali Hai Pier by songtaew (their small pick up trucks) to ride a 20-30 mins ferry going to the Tawaen beach of Koh Larn. It's the exact same place I went to for my highschool graduation trip 4 years ago.

It wasn't my best beach experience but it was still great. What made it fun was the fact that it was actually my 1st time to do water activities with my sisters! We road a banana boat (for free) for almost 5 mins to go to the parasailing dock and only one of us fell (you know who you are, haha!). My younger sister (Krystelle) was shocked because one minute she was standing on the ground and the next minute she wasn't..... it was her 1st time parasailing so we only bought her picture from the vendors. Again, we rode the banana boat back and by the time we reached the far end of the shore, I swear our driver purposely let us fall.

After resting a bit, we bought fresh shakes from a nearby stall and walked around the shops. For some reason, 80% of the shops were closed and it was only 4pm! There was nothing else to see so my sisters decided to try wake boarding. Obviously, being the weakest one, I didn't join. I took rad shots of them though! Before we went back to the ferry, we had a good 30mins swim with the whole family. It was really fun and tiring. Nothing much happened at night time; we just tried to find a night market, had dinner near our hotel and called it a day! I did become a bad ass though, riding the songtaew like a pro! Haha!
